Trump Signs Big, Disastrous Bill Into Law, Passing Historic Cuts to Medicaid and Kicking Millions off their Healthcare

In a truly deplorable Independence Day ceremony, Donald Trump and his Republican henchmen commemorated the 4th of July by signing their “Big, Beautiful Bill” into law — defunding Medicaid, cutting SNAP benefits from hungry children, and granting ICE an inflated budget comparable to foreign armies.
All to give the richest among us another useless tax break.
There’s no way around it — because of the GOP’s Medicaid cuts and pointlessly burdensome work requirements, tens of millions of Americans will lose access to healthcare, and rural hospitals will be forced to close their doors, producing deadly outcomes.
Every State Democrats firmly believes that healthcare should be the right of all people, not just the privileged few.
Republicans in Washington have unmistakably betrayed their promise not to touch Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act. Thanks to Donald Trump’s cruel America-last agenda, working-class Americans will now be sicker, hungrier, and poorer than ever before.

The Trump Administration’s Cuts to Climate Change Research Will Intensify the Tragedy of Deadly Storms
Unfortunately, Republicans’ cruel decision to defund Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act marks only a few of the cuts they have planned that will inevitably kill and weaken American citizens over the next decade.
Highlighted by the deadly floods in Texas, the loss of funding at crucial government agencies such as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will only make natural disasters far harder to predict and respond to once Trump’s 2026 budget takes full effect.
Over 100 people, many of whom were children attending summer camp, were killed or went missing over Independence Day weekend as flash floods ripped through Texas Hill Country — underscoring the need for timely and accurate weather forecasting as climate change intensifies.
Under Trump’s proposed cuts, however, weather forecasters and emergency responders will be left with fewer resources to prevent these tragedies and the loss of human life.
Moreover, Trump has already made substantial reductions at these agencies, leading to staffing shortages that have likely already exacerbated the latest tragedy. Certain field offices at the National Weather Service (NWS), a branch of the NOAA that issues hazardous weather forecasts, have even experienced staffing reductions of more than 40% compared to previous years.
“Our worst nightmare is that weather forecast offices will be so understaffed that there will be needless loss of life. We know that’s a nightmare shared by those on the forecasting front lines — and by the people who depend on their efforts,” former NWS directors wrote in May.
Under the current budget proposal, NOAA’s world-leading meteorology labs will be promptly and permanently shut down, including those dedicated to researching the causes and formation of hurricanes and deadly flash floods. If the Trump cuts take effect, weather forecasters will be left with little to no warning before severe weather events devastate their local communities — just like what occurred in Texas Hill Country last weekend.
Donald Trump and his MAGA sycophants in Congress already have blood on their hands for passing cuts to Medicaid and Medicare that will deprive millions of Americans of healthcare; by dismantling the NOAA and ignoring the threat of man-made climate change, they will only ensure the wholesale destruction of American communities in all 50 states.

Justice Department Says Child Trafficker Jeffrey Epstein Died by Suicide and Had No “Client List,” Causing MAGA Meltdown
In a shocking disappointment to Trump’s base, the Justice Department issued a memo on Monday reaffirming its position that deceased child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in his prison cell and lacked anything amounting to a much-anticipated “client list.”
For years, there was widespread speculation — particularly within MAGA — that powerful figures across society were complicit in aiding and abetting Epstein’s disgusting exploitation of underage girls, and that those co-conspirators had him assassinated to cover their tracks. Top Republican lawmakers have long believed the millionaire socialite kept a secret ledger documenting the names of his clients and associates, pushing for its release in hopes of exposing his political rivals as predators. Trump leveraged this narrative throughout the 2024 election cycle, promising various right-wing influencers that he would fully publicize the Epstein files, amounting to another broken promise.
The administration’s stunning narrative reversal that there was never a “client list,” and that Epstein’s death was not the result of foul play, has created newfound suspicion that Trump himself — who is civilly liable for rape — might have been involved in the exploitation of minors.
For example, Trump’s former campaign financier and government efficiency czar, Elon Musk, has claimed that the administration is purposefully hiding the real facts to protect the president and the members of his inner circle. Similarly, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, a noteworthy right-wing conspiracy theorist, reportedly did not show up to work on Friday after expressing frustration with Bondi’s memo.
Furthermore, for someone who claims to have nothing to hide, Trump has become increasingly defensive about the controversy. “Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy’s been talked about for years,” he retorted at White House reporters, uncharacteristically downplaying the conspiracy theories.
If Donald Trump was named in the Epstein files in any capacity, the American people deserve to know. During last year’s election, he promised unrelenting transparency — now, he only continues to lie.
